Welcome to the Harwell Feast 2009.

After two disastrous years when wet weather forced us to cancel the Harwell Feast we are hoping for third time lucky in 2009. The committee has once again been positive and worked hard to put together the traditional events of Harwell Feast.

We start the festivities as usual with the High Street Parade at 11.00.

On the Recreation Ground you will find:

A Car Boot Sale, Model Maker’s Tent, Woodturners’ Tent, Farmers’ Market, Fire Engine, Vintage Cars & Tractors, Benson Veteran Cycles, Steam Engine & Organ Grinder.

See a range of Stalls & Sideshows from charities, crafters and village organisations.

For the children we have West’s Fair, Punch & Judy Show, Bouncy Castles, Bonny Baby and Fancy Dress Competitions and Races with Mr Cansell.

We have lots of animals at the Feast with Island Farm donkeys, ferret racing, Wallingford Dog Training Club, Fun Dog Show and, new for 2009, Owls.

Musical offerings include St Matthew’s Bellringers (listen before the parade) The Bagg’s Tree Buskers, Wantage Silver Band, The Abingdon Morris Men and Harwell School’s Country Dancing Team.

Come and meet the Heart Angels and Chill out in their “Alfresco Zone”

We offer a feast of food with 3 roast pigs, a barbecue, ice creams and teas with cakes made by the Harwell W.I
